I'm looking for an original battery holder for the 1992 Ford Taurus SHO (MTX). If anyone has one for sale, please let me know.
I would like to know if there is a difference in size between the battery holder for the 1992 MTX and the 1995 ATX. If anyone knows this question, I would be grateful.

There is a difference between MTX and ATX. The angle of the tray differs. The ATX tray mounts parallel to the inner fender and the MTX tray is angled roughly 15-20° towards the engine. That's why if you use the wrong size battery in an MTX it will likely rub the serpentine belt. MTX battery hold down is held in place by two nuts where the ATX also attaches to the inner fender. They had to angle the MTX battery tray to clear the PS reservoir but on the ATX the moved the reservoir to a different spot.

To answer the OPs question, both MTX and ATX are sized to hold a group 34 battery. An ATX tray will mount in an MTX car provided you also use the ATX bracket for the PS reservoir.

I have a battery tray for an MTX. Do you need the bottom or also the top bar and rods? I can probably ship it to brazil, message me if you want, the other posters can vouch I am legit.
