Just had a new clutch installed a couple of months ago..and just recently the damn car wont go into gear!
No funny noises and the clutch seems to engage at the right spot but it just wont go into gear without a LOT of pressure/patience.
YES I have read the search area but I need some fresh/proven ideas as to what to do.My cable ball is held together with wire and I don't know how much more pressure it can take without failing me and being stranded.
Thanks

Are you missing the bushing on transaxle housing where the clutch cable goes through?

i had the same promblem with my sho. it was the throw out bearing. mine wouldn shift into gear unless i put all my power into it. will it go into gear easy with the car not running? an when the car is running can u hear any noise coming from your transmission, listen very carefully for any rattling coming from your tranny.

i had that same promblem an it was the throw out bearing. it shifted into gear with the car off but when it was started i had a hard time shifting it. my car got so bad that it would vibrate real bad. then i jus replaced the clutch and throw out bearing an it shifted perfect

If the sleeve that the throw out bearing rides on is loose, won't it cause a similar issue? Makes it seem like the clutch doesn't quite disengage completely? Perhaps when the shop did it they didn't use hi temp sleeve retainer to hold it in place.

I recommend, in this order:

1. Lift up ******* clutch pedal to ensure cable adjustment.
2. Change transmission fluid - perhaps switch to another brand.
3. Change clutch cable
4. Investigate clutch problem, probably involving PP fingers, TOB, or loose sleeve.
