I did look at that on CL. Not too big of a Gen 1 fan unless its a 91+. I appreciate the link anyways. I travel alot between NC, VA, WV and DC for work so I try to keep my eyes peeled for a good deal but haven't seen anything worth jumping on. I don't mind something that needs some minor work but I don't want a project car either.

I can appreciate that. I was fortunate enough to have both and the Gen 2 was a significant upgrade in quality, comfort, etc. over the Gen 1. Wasn't as fun, but was a nicer car. For a toy, I think I would be fine with either. As a daily, I'd want a Gen 2. Just personal opinion. Love any/all of them.

Tim's '89 has a lot of noteworthy upgrades. Not sure why he doesn't have them listed.

I have found a 1995 MTX on CL in Atlanta. 113K miles and the guy isn't asking much. May have to follow up on that one. However, not a fan of green. Would like to have White with the white wheels or the brighter Moonlight Blue!

I would focus on condition and history. They can be a nightmare if they weren't taken proper care of. With the age, I'd say you have to count on a certain amount of repair no matter how perfect it is, but the wrong one could find it's way to a junkyard quickly.

I'd be shopping for black. Was my favorite car color back then and still is now. Somehow I ended up with a white MKS. D'oh! It was used, clean, and the right price.

Hey Irish Pride I have no idea how to post anything here! I need a lot of help with my 92 MTX Red/Black. I need to do a full rebuild on the motor and I can not find any parts or complete gaskets kits for it! I have no idea where to get some tuned cams for it and and better a crank connecting rods. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Shoot I should give you my E-Mail. [email protected]

Start with shosource.com and shonutperformance.com for parts and wisdom. There are some parts you can get from general suppliers like rockauto.com, but can also look up/post in the classified section for used but good condition parts.
