OK Guys and Gals. You asked for it, well here it is.

It's gonna run like all the rest. A commitment to this group buy is the following:

Name - First and Last
Complete billing address
(different shipping address is ok, just let me know)
Phone number
E-mail address
SHO Forum screen name
Car - Year, Make, Model, Engine and Trans. (Computer code helps but is not always necessary)(99 SHO - designate with or without O/D cancel button)
Any special requests in programming - modifications, tire size, whatever.
Credit card info - full 16 digit number, exp date and the last three in the signing stripe on the back. VISA AND M/C ONLY.

There are any number of ways to make your commitment, e-mail, PM, phone, carrier pigeon...whatever. For those that won't risk transmitting CC info for security reasons, please let me know. I will update the list as I get full commitments. so as of right now, no one is on the list.

X-Cal 1's come with a data cable and regularly sell for $470. X-Cal 2's sell for $499 and program or data log using an ordinary USB cable.

Get 3 on the list and the price goes to $450 & $470. Get 5 on the list and the price goes to $420 & $440. Get 8 on the list and the price will be $400 & $420. The deepest discounts will be 10 or more and the price will be $370 & $390. Upgrades from an X-Cal 1 to an X-Cal 2 are usually $100. During this GB, trade-ins will be done for $50, pending inspection of the trade-in unit. The car must be returned to stock and the tuner sent to us here at the shop before the new tuner is shipped back out.

Shipping for all tuners will be $12 and come FedEx Ground.

This group buy will start right now and end the morning of Mon, Feb 20th, 2006. At which time, the final list will be set and I will order the tuners in one batch. It will take a few days for them to come in and by the following Mon, I should have them all programmed and shipped out and will keep the list updated. When you commit to the GB, you're committing to buy a tuner at the price they go for at the end of the GB. I will not bill your CC until Mon morning after the end of the GB. After that time, any cancellations will incur restocking fees.

Lemme know if you have any questions.

Doug, if I read you right, I can trade in my current XCal 1 for a new XCal2 for $50 regardless of the # of people in the GB, right?

Doug - you've got my info via PM, and I called in the CC # to FPS.

Everyone else: we've got exactly 2 weeks to get 10 orders in to get the best price! Please pass the word to everyone in your car clubs!

What numbers are neded off of the computer? Mine reads like this:

EFL2 EEC-V Ford
MLC-371
F8DF-12A650-NC *GYSTD2M1DV82*
G NPF 8F02M

I suppose the necessary numbers are in there somewhere.

I'm in for an upgrade then.

The initial list was simply to show Doug at FPS that there was enough interest to officially start the Group Buy. And all it took was an "Add me" post to get on the unofficial list.

Now that the Group Buy has officially started the list basically starts over, and in order to get on the official list you need to PM/eMail your required shipping/billing info to Doug (SHO Dude) or call into FPS at 877-737-8863 and ask for the "SHOFORUM Group Buy."

So it's great to announce you're interest, but now that the Group Buy has started it's more effective to actually send your payment info to Doug (SHO Dude) or call FPS direct.

Should be the first 4 digits you posted (EFL2) - on my ECU they are the largest font and are centered on the top (and upside down).

Doug, you've got a pm.
FWIW, I've always found that emailing Doug directly or just plain 'ol picking up the phone and calling were far more efficient ways to reach him then via forum PM's. A lot of people don't have email notification for PM's turned on, and don't notice the pending messages even when on the forum.

I hadn't even thought of that. I'll give him a call this morning. Thanks!

I trust everyone else from the list is busy PM'ing their shipping/billing info to Doug (SHO Dude) or calling it into FPS at 877-737-8863 and asking for the "SHOFORUM XCal Group Buy."

Remember, we need 10 folks to get the best price for everyone involved - so please send the link to this thread to all the SHO owners that you know!!!

So how many people are there official now?
Doug, are you going to keep and SHOw an official update list on here like you did before?
And does the upgrade people count in the total somehow?

Upgrades don't count in the total. I'm offering them in conjunction with the GB.

OK, here's the Official X-Cal List:

1) Troxel 98 SHO ??
2) Sounders 97SHO XC2
3) Robinson 97SHO XC2

These folks have made the calls, e-mails or PM's and given me all the information needed to seal the deal. There are a few on teh fence, so if you want in, let us know.

Holy hose hounds! Brenspeed (Ft. Wayne, IN) has a regular price of like $370 with shipping included for an Xcal2. Dunno about the Xcal1. You guys should email Mark about getting a GB going for even deeper discounts. I can't quote what us Contour guys are getting. But it's significantly lower than these posted prices. Contact Mark that set out GB.

Brent has been great with tunes and will promptly answer any questions.

You could go cheaper but who wants a tune from someone who doesn't work on V8 SHO's? Doug owns one and has worked on lots. A tune from anybody else is just a mail order generic tune. Not to mention by purchasing from a non-SHO vendor you're not supporting a SHO vendor.

Hey Todras!
Just between you and me...very inappropriate.
Do yourself a favor and delete your post from this thread and then start your own XCal Group Buy for you & your good buddies - Mark & Brent.
