scratches and abrasions

I got a sho spoiler/trunk my Gen 2 GL. There are some scratches and abrasions on it. I can feel my fingernail going into some but not all of the scratches. Some 'scratches' appear like something that just rubbed onto it.

I bought Turtle Wax Premium Rubbing Clay (for medium scratches an oxidiation) but didnt seem to do much. The instructions for hand application says: Apply the stuff to a towel and apply back and forth pressure gently; wipe off excess stuff

I did that, but it's taking forever even for light scratches. What can I do to speed it up?

the ones you can feel with finger nail arent going to rub/buff out.
