So, I pull into my drive way and my brother follows, he pulls up in the garage and says that one of my hangers broke on the drivers side exhaust, I take a look, but I noticed that when I shook it, the exhaust piping didnt move... Oh boy, so I get under there and look around, turns out that it was completely unattached. The weld must have broke. So I pull, and tug, and it comes right off... Turned on the car, and it sounded great  I made an appointment to get it rewelded tomorrow, as a temporary solution. Looks like a Dynomax is in my near future :thumb:

Im lucky it didnt come off while I was driving... that could have been real ugly...

you can get some aftermarket replacments put on for cheap...you can buy the summit turbos for like $15 is it? then a shop will take 1/2 hour to get them in there and put your old tip on the new mufflers, or you can buy new tips too.

Cars+rust= baaaad. Luckily I got a new exhaust and ypipe put on my car a little while ago. When I first got my car, I think the cat back was rusted off of the ypipe. Boy did it sound mean. Good luck.:thumb:

most times its usually just the bottom of the muffler that rots out a hole...the stock exhaust system is stainless steel, so most times the pipes are fine. since your pipe itself has rusted, i would be worried about the rest of the piping leading to that point.

Its all welded back up, and since the guy who did it for me said that it is very temporary, and it wouldnt last more then a month (the inside of the muffler does not look good) he didnt charge me anything... Its the stock exhaust, but a Dynomax is soon to be ordered...
