Even though I see that you have replaced it, that really sounds like a bad CPS. Run your codes and see what comes up. Also, I have never heard of this happening on an SHO but it's food for thought. When many of the GM electronic ignitions start to go bad (usually a problem with the distribution block similar to SHO's DIS) the engine bay gets hot and warmed up to running temp the distribution blockshorts out (because it's just made of plastic and absorbs the heat easily) and causes the same problem you describe (most notably on some of the older quad 4's and 3.4's). Like I said, I've never heard of this on an SHO but if the CPS is newer you gotta start thinking of other possibilities. .

if it fires and sputters a little for a few min . I'd say fuel pump but if it dies completly and will not start @ all ........CPS

I had one of these symptoms and just changed both

i vote CPS being the problem too.

You might not have this problem, but if the water pump is leaking, it will cause premature failure of the CPS. Just some info, incase you didnt already knew.

you're thinking of the CID

Even with a bad CID, the car should eventually start..but may run like crap.

If the tach acts weird, it's a good indication of a CPS problem.

I usually find that starting with reading the codes is usually a better place to start than guessing. There are links with easy DIY instructions in my sig.

Change your temp sensor to your computer.

Can you explain more on the temp sensor? I'm having an issue with my car starting after it's been warmed up and it's HOT(90+) outside, but never cold, and it never stalls when driving.

If everything checks out ok its worth changing. Tony had a customer's car running poorly, no codes and he checked/swapped everything. Turned out of be a bad temp sensor f-ing with the computer.

For the money and how valuable they are...I changed the temp sensors for both the computer and the gauge on all my SHOs when I bought them.

If you have never replaced the fuel pump then my bets on the fuel pump. Same exact symptoms that I had when my fuel pump went bad.

I have the same problem. 95 degrees today 93 SHO running fine. Then on the Interstate acts like it just ran out of fuel. Sat on the side of the road for 10 minutes, SHO starts and runs for 10 minutes...then again acts like it ran out of fuel. Never had this Problem before, I suspect it's the fuel pump. (Did the 60k service 2500 miles ago) so I've got new CPS and CIS. NOW...what fuel pump should I put on my 93 ATX SHO??
I've seen 155 lph 185 lph and 225 lph.....It's all stock so any recommendation would be helpful....Thanks 2 much.

If all else fails, replacing the motor, tranny, and all the electronics and accessories will probably resolve the problem.
