I think this would be a first for this car, as I got it from a gal who was in her 70's.
Now that I have done most of the maintinance on this car, it's time to see what it will do in the 1/4 mile.
I am not going balls to the wall (speed shifting)to get a certain time, probably see 15.4 or so.

Lofty goals

Well my seven runs tonite yielded a best of 15.8 @ 88, best trap was just shy of 90 mph.
I red lighted all nite, some -.oxx times, my first trip to the drag strip with a stick.
I think the clutch was slipping after some of my shifts, and at the launch. Two best 60' were 2.3
Best race was against a fox body, last run of the night, I was pulling on him at the top end of the track, and crossed the finish line first( stupid red lights)he did beat my time but it was nice to be neck and neck pulling ahead.
Not too shabby for sixteen years old with 150K, bone stock and a full tank of gas.

Ok times. werid the 60' are a little better than average. I think ur car is not running 100%. Ur trapr are kinda of low expessialy with the 60's. Sounded like a good time though.

FYI if u are just running for practice dont worry bout the tree. The reaction time has nothing to do with ur time. Worry bout ur launch as that what yeilds the best times

I've drag raced my Mercury Marauder in seven states, but it was my first trip with the SHO & a stick.
I understand the critical launch and the relation to ET's.
Again, It felt like the clutch was slipping, especially 2-3 shift.
I was shifting well into the red line.
There may be a 15.5 or better in her, but I wanted to drive it home.
I bet the first owner never had this much fun with her!

Neno and I were comparing slips today.
We both run 2.2 in the 60' w/ stock trans tires etc, IMHO you're right there.
There's power issues and/or shift issues.

That is a really low trap speed man, I was trapping 95mph with a stock 95mtx.

shit now we can't post in threads?

I hate when people get on people about posting on an old thread, maybe he wanted to know something about it, maybe he wanted to add his opinion........ those are the reasons why this place is here.......

ain't like everyone is making 5 new threads a day.... everyone should go find 2 old threads and liven them up........
