OK, so I examined the area where my oil is burning, and it looks like its burning off of the catalytic converter (the one right near the crank pulley). Oddly, the accessory belt tensioner is missing the bottom bolt....

Can anyone tell me the specs on the bolt (size and thread pattern) so I can try to replace it? Would oil leak from this missing bolt hole? My other idea is the main seal. And would either of these cause the oil light to illuminate?

One last thing...does anyone have a link to a walk'through for the rod bearing job or have any tips on how to do the job right?

Umm, yeah, the bottom bolt goes through the oil pump & helps seal it to the block. :)

Which oil light, yellow or red? Red = pressure, yellow=level

It was the red light...I ran it a bit tonight to see if I could find the leak, and I didn't see it leak from the hole (although with this new oil pump news, I'm sure it does). It looks like the smoke is coming from the oil pan gasket leaking onto the front cat converter. Does anyone know what size that bolt is?
