Removing front license plate holder?

Purchased the GenII from a state where it was required to have a front plate. Here in GA don't need one...want to remove the holder. Do I just drill the rivets out?

Yes, drill the rivets out, but then you will have 3 holes, so you can fill then in and respray if you want.
