Relocating Oil Filter For Easier Maintenance

Actually, I believe above the stock location would be best. If you think about where oil sits after you turn off the motor, the best set up would be hoses draining downward, back into the engine, not out of the filter holder holes. I think there would be room at the coil pack bracket.

Good point Tom. It doesn't seem like a pretty picture imagining some oil backflushing dirt out of the filter towards the oil pump each time you shut off the engine and let it sit.

If you ever have to pull the front exhaust manifold off because you broke a stud while trying to get the y-pipe off to do the clutch,

make sure you didn't just change the oil & filter and fill it back up. Because it would be way easier without the filter on. The filter makes it an extremely obnoxious job...

I would imagine that the new location should be at or below the height of the stock filter location.

I am in no way an expert on this subject, so I honestly have no idea where it should be located.
