I got an oem one from the dealer for about 45 bucks. With cap. The 24valve is the same tank.

thats not to bad of a price after shipping that's about what ill pay autozone!

so i assume that wont work!

only reason i wanna replace it is because i have found the cap popped off! and it leaks coolant around the cap.. 1 thing tho i have 3 diff caps 2 oem's and 1 replacement. The replacement can be put as tight as i can make it, doesn't have that click deal the the oem ones. that one even seeps coolant when made very tight.

so that's why i figured invest into a new tank. i did buy a new cap today. along with the much need replacement rad drain plug! hope both fix my little issues?

any opinions

No the Vulcan tank twill not work. Once you have stripped the threads on the tank, which you cannot tell from looking at it, you will not get the cap to seal again. The V8 does not work well with no pressure. It will overheat at slow speeds such as in town.

no over heating issues and as i know of i didnt tighten it to much

also new cap seems to be doing good, maybe it was just the seal around the old caps! guess i just have to wait and see..
thanks for input
