When I had my trans rebuilt I went with the best reasonably priced fluid available (it was castrol semi synth), surprisingly there are alot more options available now than when I had mine done. Look for something that's synthetic if possible (should hold up better against the heat). I saw mobile now sells a synthetic atf for merc V. I'd say that would probably be a good bet. I'd imagine your year SHO used merc V so just get something synthetic that meets or exceeds the requirements for merc V, yes there is a difference with Dextron & Mercon rated fluids. Just remember to change the fluid regularly and install a trans cooler so it will live longer! :salute:
