Rear shade gone crazy

damn rear shade goes half way up when the car is in reverse and won't stay down. Anyone know how to disconnect it as it is useless anyway.

Searched the Gen 4 forum with the word "shade" and a couple of these links caught my eye:

Replace or fix the motor/gear to fix the problem.

you'll need to pull the panel up that covers it (behind the rear seat head rests) and disconnect the module. Mine didn't work when i got it and it was disconnected from there.
