Ok, I warn you, this is a long one. Here is the story. This summer I had some probs starting my 95ATX SHO, it wouldnt catch right away, and it would run really bad for a few minutes, with the CE light on. I went to a couple Ford Dealerships around my place, and just by describing the symtoms they said it was prolly fuel pump. I finally have money now, so I got my whole rear suspension replaced, new tires, and I just ran my codes. The first time I did both of them I really screwed them up, so I just threw those out, the second time I ran them I got codes 225 and 543 for the KOER test, which is Knock sensor not sensed during dynamic response test, and Fuel pump secondary circuit failure. I got a shit load of saved codes, but i accidently erased them, so I didnt get any of them down. I ran the KOEO test right again, and I got an all good response. So what would be my best action at this point??

Thanks in advance, Chris

the fuel pump secondary circuit failure is a code you can throw out, because if it failed, it would not pump, and your car would not run. I get it on my car, and it runs fine. I'm not sure about the knock sensor, if you hear a pinging, then it's not working. Good luck!

Well, of those two codes that came up, only the fuel pump code would throw up a CE light during normal driving, and the light is on more often then not now.

When you erase the codes you won't get any new ones untill you drive it around. Just idleing it in the driveway doesn't count, for some reason. So try that if you can!

I don't remember what the knock sensor is/does but it might be more than one thing...

I have been using 89 octane for the past month or so, because i havnt been running her hard lately. I usually use 92,93, or 94, depending on what station has what and at what price. The contineous codes were erased, but the on demand codes were the ones that came up again.
