radio issues

the radio is coming on all the lights and antenna are working like they should replaced the stock radio twice already and the relay? in the trunk in between the amps thinking that was the problem but there is no sound coming from any of the speakers any advice or solutions to this problem???

If the CD player has malfunctioned and ceased passing audio through that stupid 8-pin cable that goes between the CD player and the radio, you won't get any sound. the "relay" between the amps is a power conditioner for the sub amplifier.

Try replacing the CD player and see if that fixes anything.

Ive already replaced the stock cassette player twice everything on both decks appear to be functioning correctly. Just no sound any other suggestions?

Not the cassette deck, the other one. The one that plays CDs. That one has to be working correctly in order for sound to get through it.

this happened to me i dont know why it has something to do with the amps in the trunk i had to buy a bridge to bypass the i can post a pic if you need me to

Now I have to point out that both the amps and the radios on these JBL systems use electrolytic capacitors that do have a lifespan, and that lifespan is 10-15 years. They leak out and die over time. If this has happened on either your amps or your HU, your sound may very well not work.

There is a reason that more and more people are simply installing aftermarket systems...

Yeah ive read about bypass just not exactly sure where to get it from and i bought the car with just stock cassette so i need the cd player or is that just a added option. and if i added a after market cd player how would it change not having any sound or would i have to bypass amps aswell?

yeah i put in a aftermarket cd player and it still didnt work so ill see if i can find you a bypass ill post a pic as well... i also have a cd player i could sell you with the wiring harness attatched it'll plug right into your car harness its a panasonic its got the bright greenish blue screen digital let me kno
