Radio , FM static problems

Heres the deal , I swapped my radio with a CSVT (single bin cd) one , PLUS I installed a brand new SLO antenna (with wire) , and on both my radios (old + new) I had really poor FM reception , only one channel works , but that one is known to have a really good antenna. So the question is , Im I bad lucky enough to have bought another failed FM transistor (or whatever) , or should I look at other stuff like the grounds? I got the Tweecer and the PLX running close to it , donno if that can cause something. AM works OK , and CD too.

BTW left the side of the radio (facing you) is ultra hot , cant put my fingers on it for long.
