lost partial driverside tank seem (where the plastic and metal come together) how long til it completely goes? can I still drive it as long as I keep the bottle full? and any one know were I can get one for less than $125 since I don't have much extra money right now but I dont want to burn up the engine.

I'm in the same boat as you. Mine started leaking last winter, and I let it go. All summer it was fine, and now that the cold weather is upon us, it is leaking again, even worse than last year. I'm trying to let it go till spring, when I have more cash. As far as a sub-$125 radiator, good luck. About the cheapest I've found is around $170+tax at autozone. It may last you for a while, it may all of a sudden blow.....no way to tell for sure till it happens. Do what I do....keep the overflow bottle full, and keep an eye on your temp gauge!!!!

That type of leak usually responds well to Barr's Stop Leak. Until you can get the radiator replaced, this can save you a lot of water and coolant and may even stop the leak completely. You can keep sufficient fluid in the expansion bottle, but unless the cooling system is sealed, coolant inventory can be lost in the engine. Keep close tabs on the level in the radiator only when the engine is cool.
