There was a guy in an Audi Quattro running these last weekend. He totally smoked me. . . and it was raining, too.

That might have something to do w/ a AWD car on good tires compared to even the best of tires on a FWD, in the rain... :p

Then there's the new kid on the block, the Nitto NT01.

There was a guy in an Audi Quattro running these last weekend. He totally smoked me. . . and it was raining, too.

Needless to say, I'm taking a serious look at these . . . they are fairly reasonably priced, too. .. ~$170 for a 225-45/17.
How many sets of race tires do you need? :oogle:

I also am very smitten with the NT01s. Ran them on my car and once you dial in enough camber, they just beg and beg for more. I was very pleased with the performance.

I'm running 235/40-17s. Soon to be replaced with 255/40-17s :)
