Hey, all, since i am to SHO motor's, how hard is it to do a thermostat? Mine is sticking and since it is a whopping 27 degrees out i want to know how to get it out and re installed asap. Can anyone give the rundown on how too do it?
BTW it's a 3.2l if that makes any difference:salute:

its simple...

2 10mm (i think) bolts to remove the housing.

Swap the thermostat and replace.

I dont remember if you have to remove the temp sending unit but if you do, its a matter of unscrewing it and replacing it as well.

:stupid:

the sending unit is right next to the houseing, and if you want, change it while you're in there, it's another $6.

Make sure the thermostat goes in the way it came out, along with the way the gasket sits on the housing.

Also, realize the t-stat housing is aluminum so be careful not to overtighten the bolts or you can crack it.

Please, please, please remember to drain the coolant. It's a sloppy mess when it's not drained. It's as hard as doing an oil change.
