quick question: cylinder placement

To be honest, I love the SHO but after looking at the long term cost of ownership I'm kind of kicking myself for not picking up that 2000 V6 5spd 'stang...

edit: mostly due to my current financial situation, not my happiness (or lack thereof) with the SHO. I need a raise.

You will see that this is becoming a common problem on the Gen 3s. Mine are rusted but I smothered them with an aresol petrleum jelly a couple of years ago and don't drive it in the winter any more.

I have just contacted Custom Tubes and they will make a complete set out of stainless steel for around $200. But some one needs to send in a complete set fittings and all.

I had a line burst on me when I was staging at Lapeer dragway last spring.

And NESHO might be offering stainless hard lines soon too. A little birdie told me so. I just wish they offered stainless rocker panels.

You can reuse all the gaskets, the steel ones require a fresh coat of paint before they go back on with the paint still wet.

Regular black spray paint. Clean off the gaskets, then hit them with a fresh coat of spray paint, and install them on the engine while still wet. Kind of a "seal" if you could imagine.
