I have a few questions I kept having my oil light go on so I checked it all out and the conection was back so I desided that I should put a aftermarket one in anyways, so I would know the pressure in numbers. Well it ideals around 12ish and sometimes the light still comes on and mostly when it is warmed up for a while, there was an oil change done on it about 2 weeks ago now (I put in 5-30w thinking it was 10-30w on accident so I didnt know if that was it or not) but I was jsut wanting to know if it was the oil, I put in, theligh being stupid, and what is the ideal oil pressure suppose to be? Thank ya'll !

12 psi around idle seems fairly well with that weight of oil in. You may need to just pick up a new oil pressure sender.

5w-30 is fine for the SHO. I prefer it, actually, specifically for the reason that it allows a little higher idle Psi. I know of a few people that run 0w-30 with no problems whatsoever. I run 5w in my SHO. I can't comment on the psi situation though, I don't know what it's supposed to be. Sensors do fail, though. I know a lot about that!
