Question about Intake Temp Sensor

I recently bought this off of ebay and was rather disappointed when i receved it in the mail. They sent me what i think is some form of resistor in the mail taped to a piece of paper with poor instrutions has any one heard of this and can you tell me if this part really too good to be true. I gusse i should have asked beforei bought.

Its just what it is a resistor, and there is no good place under the hood for it.

the wire it goes to is a signal to the computer that tells it how cold the incoming air is. it makes your computer think the incoming air is very cold there for dense. when it is not. your car will just be running rich because the computer will add more fuel for the colder denser air and adjust the timing. it is just a POS rip off.
