Hello guys. So, I'm a new happy owner of a 1995 ATX (it's a 3gen AX4S) SHO, I believe one of a few or even the only one running in Poland, and I'd like to make it run faster.
I read few threads here and some info on shosource.com, watched many youtube videos but ofc I still have basic questions :)

1. Catless y-pipe - I read that it should be the first mod to make power on MTX cars, but what about cars with automatic transmission? According to shosource: "On the factory MTX, the y-pipe was very restrictive and resticted power and flow. " - what about ATX y-pipe? Can it stay in it's form?
2. Bolt ons - with underdrive pulleys, big bore butterflies, ported intake, 80mm MAF and SHO NUT cams (idk which ones yet, I think + 40) will I need anything more than tuning? Is fuel system going to handle all of this or injectors/pump will need to be upgraded too?
Can you give me some numbers - how much wpower/torque can I expect with automatic transmission? I've seen a video on a Zach's youtube channel, it was a 3.2 ATX with bbb, ported intake, catless y-pipe and 3.0 cams on the dyno and it blew 192 whp - that not impress to be honest, but car had some torque converter problems, so...
3. Underdrive pulley - there's only one on shosource - I guess it's a crankshaft one - don't other pulleys have to be replaced for underdrive pulleys? Somewhere I read about alternator pulleys etc, but couldn't find anything more about it. Is it enough to replace the main one to rev limiter for higher RPMs or is that just the only one available for now?
4. ATX - one of the previous owners put a 3gen AX4S in - I heard that it's more reliable than 2gen automatics and can handle more power - is that true or should I start from rebuilding it with HD parts and any shift kit?
I'd like to have some fun racing 1/4 and I know that ATX can provide some problems in that kind of use :) Can u recommend any modifications here?

I hope everything is understandable for you, my english isn't perfect, sorry for that,
Johnny

the MTX design was a little more restrictive at the bends but that is not really a big deal. Your atx should be fine unless you want a little extra hp at the top end

Bolt ons do not require more fuel than the factory setup can handle.

You are not going to be impressed with overall torque/hp numbers as compared to modern automobiles. This engine is a mid 1980's design and was very strong for its time. that time has passed.
The atx transmission does not have enough stronger parts that are readily available. I am not as familiar with those transmissions but my general experience is that they will not last long under great stress and the rebuild parts are not so great.

My general opinion is to drive it and enjoy it for what it is. If you want to make it into something else maybe you have access to Mondeo parts that we did not have over here and may work

Yes just replacing the crank pulley is enough.

I doubt that they put in a Gen3 tranny as they run on a different computer setup entirely.
