Its just what it is a resistor, and there is no good place under the hood for it.

the wire it goes to is a signal to the computer that tells it how cold the incoming air is. it makes your computer think the incoming air is very cold there for dense. when it is not. your car will just be running rich because the computer will add more fuel for the colder denser air and adjust the timing. it is just a POS rip off.
