Question about 3950rpm

Found nothing searching...Is all that noise/speed caused ONLY by the secondary intake runners opening up...or does the SHO also have some sort of variable valve timing? ie: VVT-i & VTEC. Sorry, questions like this just get in my head and won't let me sleep until i get an answer. Thank god for shoforum.com! otherwise i would never be able to sleep.

The sound is the secondaries. The SHO does not have VVT.
