Just announcing I hit my build goal today. 11.988 @114.27mph, DA 2400, temperature 78. My goal was to build an 11 second police car running stock turbos. Some of the build info listed below. Hats off to Ford...this drivetrain has almost 13,000 hours of run time on it. Now I have to do it twice or it isn't real :)

PPE Catless DPs
Straight piped with two FlowMaster FlowFX resonators
Mishimoto J-Line FMIC
XDI 30 HPFP
BC Racing BR Series Coilovers
Roush high flow intake box with custom cover
SMS Trans mounts Pro Street compound
Splitter, custom rear diffuser, rear spoiler
Weight reduction
E30 tune from AJP
Stock turbos, injectors, and charge pipes

Holy nice going! Congrats, yeah I am getting closer with a 93 tune. But the $1600 for the pump and and forever to re-stock GH IC, I am very impressed. Now those driving in front of you have something to fear!

Thanks everyone. I learned one big thing yesterday that might help others. I completed my build about 5 weeks ago and spent one or two days a week at the track trying to get an 11. I'd pick the best DA and ambient temps but could not break out of the 12.02-12.08 range not matter what the conditions were. My torque management system was never happy. It was throwing "torque source 7" codes and pulling timing. Then yesterday I went to the track to help a friend, not get a number. The weather was horrible. Hot, humid and not a great DA but I got my 11 completely out of the blue. The data log shows the trans was quiet and happy and didn't pull timing. My theory is that I was going when the conditions were best for the engine but then it was overpowering the trans so torque management kicked in. I'm going to test this theory but if your torque management is kicking in, go on a crappy day and see what happens.

Get the pump and switch over to e30. That would be my best advice.

Post 1005 is a summary of my mods and the power gains. A HPFP and E30 tune were the biggest bang for the buck. Pretty sure I might be able to click off 11.9X with the stock IC as it sits right now.

Thanks for the advice. I just paid for the Anthony Dicunzolo mounts, coming soon. Crapola if I get the XDI pump, and E30 I might as well and do the fuel injectors, then bigger turbos, this project never ends, waaaaahhh

PS - thanks again @SM105K

You won't need injectors unless you are building a monster, and then it will be hamstringed by the transmission. As you have read, there is a movement trying to fix that.

I would contact Brad at AJPTurbo and see if he is willing to work with you on a stock HPFP E30 tune. That will give you a taste of what could be. I went 12.56 with E30 (stock HPFP) and a K&N drop in.

HPFP and E30 will pretty much change your life. Also E30 will help with having a stock IC (until a GH become available).

He is my guy, yeah he did ask if I wanted to run E30. I received a very glowing review of my cars health from my logs with him. Turbos are in great shape, and I know cause when I had access installing the DP's I checked for any wiggle and they were super tight. Got a bit of homework, but yeah thanks for the awesome advice. I have the next items on my list of build items.

Get these Tony D mounts installed.
Get my whiteline sway bar - rear shocks and PP struts replaced, and HR springs installed.
Work on E30 tune, see how reasonable it is in my area and access ethanol/costs.
I need a track damit in the 3 SE counties of SE FL.

@SM105K you have been a wealth of knowledge, keep up the posts, we all learn so much.

Yes on the custom Rousch cover. The PI does not have a hood blanket so there is no way the box was going to seal. I don't like any of the open boxes anyway, they seem poorly thought out. Why not provide a cover? My cover is 18 gauge steel welded to a band I attached to the box. I left the Rousch snorkel open and the front part of the box open and also removed the hood gasket. Did it help? I don't know but I feel better about it. Pictures enclosed. The cut-out is to clear the hood.

BTW, I did 12.18 on an AJP 93 tune but with the XDI 30. Then get an E30 tune (and sensor) to have more fun. No matter what, the XDI is needed with stock injectors if you want low 12's.

Yeah I can see that - AJPTurbo already shared I am at the limits without more changes, thus the high 12's for 1/4 mile and my PP gears.

@BradM & @SM105K any good threads here on our forums about running E30 and what I will need to get setup, or should I check out ecoboost performance forum possibly? I need to educate myself, its something I havent done much research into.

As long as you have the correct spark plugs, to run E30 you just have to have an E30 tune. You will also have to mix E85 and 93/91 octane correctly.

The switch is pretty straight forward. You need a XDI HPFP (easy install) and an inline ethanol sensor and gauge (easy install). It took AJP 4 revisions of the E30 tune to get where I'm at. The blending of the fuel can be a pain if this is your daily driver IMHO. You first have to measure the amount of ethanol in the 91 or 93 octane as well as the E85 at your local station. There are apps to calculate the proper ratio and you verify this with your sensor/gauge. But ethanol amounts change from station to station and with the seasons (at least here). E85 can contain 53% to 83% of ethanol. And starting on E30 in cold climates can be an issue (so I've read). I only run E30 for the track and it's not my daily.
