So I just picked up a quaifed trans for....... $500 :woo-hoo: and was just wondering since the stock diff was one of the main reason for running most of the thinner fluids we use, if any trans fluids work best with a quaifed trans or just the same old Amsoil ATF, GM Synchromesh ect ect... :thankyou:

Or Georgia!

I think a big reason that SHO owners use the high dollar stuff is not just because of the diff. It's also to keep the actual gears and sycnros and such lubricated well. i could tell a major difference in the smoothness of the shifting after adding full synthetic in my old 94....so i know it's not just because of the Diff.

I agree with that and had the same results with the original trans in my 95 much smoother, I was just wondering since most run the thinner fluid to **** the diff if any other synthetic trans fluids would be better for the gears and sycnros . I figured most run the same fluids Amsoil ATF, GM Synchromesh and the other fluids we have found to work well, I didnt think that there would be much if any difference just thought I would ask some people that have had experience with quaifed trans.

Thanks Shadetree :salute:

My car had syncromesh in it whwn i got it and i switched to mobil 1 when put in the drain plug. I think James filled it with the BG stuff when he had it.

Realistically, every transmission is going to be different. Some people swear by mobil 1, some by syncromesh. Try one and see how you like it. But keep it fresh.
