Hey guys
i have my turbo sho running about 8 psi now and it runs great exept for this problem... under WOT once in full boost i get this wierd hesitation/bog/missfire/revlimiter thing... it feels like a rev limiter but it gos thorugh it. it occurs when winding out any gear other that first from about 5000 rpm on. it pulls hard up until this happenes then it just ooses power and barely climbs.... its not pullin timing is it? i have WOT timing set to about 20 degrees.

This is just a shot in the Dark here as my Skyline had a Similar issue....But do you think that it is Spark related? I had to Change the Coilpacks in my Skyline when this issue happened.

what's your spark plug gap? sounds like you're blowing out the spark at higher boost levels.

2 steps colder (the ones from shosource) and gapped at stock spec i think... should it be closer or farther? and yes i think its spark related.

on another note... never get rubber couplers. i make them like balloons when my turbo is done with them....

I vote try another coil pack. My green pile was having a similar problem, swapped coil packs, problem was gone completly.

That also may be ur problem too as the battery may be weak and not giving enough power to make spark.

I had a little odyessy pc680 w/ a dead alt and the car only ran for 30 minutes before the lights, engine, ect drained it. Then the car died.

I'm going to put my money on that you are blowing out the spark. Stock gap is wayyyyyy to big to be running on an F/I sho.

I run a 28 gap.

try 28 to 30. If that doesn't work go alittle smaller.

I would start by closing the gap about .010 from stock. In my experience, if the plug gap gets too small, they don't run decent either, especially at idle, so I expect that .028-.030 is too small for optimal performance.

I'm interested to see what the cause of this is.
