i havent ran OBD-I codes in quite a while, but are they reported in numerical order ? on OBD-II, the codes are reported in descending order. the last code displayed in the first code thrown by the EEC.

ok, ran them again tonight, after she started doing what she was doing, at the spring run...
this time, while i was running the car, i got 111, which its not picking anything up.. and i know that the EEC wont pick up a missfire....
but, in the M i got 212 217 219 like the ones above... but then i ran engine balance test. and got 2 and 6.... now Josh's site says, it would be a 20 or a 30 or so on... i just got a single number.... but i guess you cant count a zero.... sorry its late, and the car is about to get smashed with a 30lb slegde hammer.... anyways, could this be a bad coil pack? i just replaced the DIS, with a new one, not the new one from the run, but a NEW one out of the box.... that my friend had.... and it was doing fine, until tonight, when i was seeing what the adjustment to the quadrent was doing... (see WOT vibration thread) when i let off she, started running like that again... and it was the same case, out in austin too.. right after i went WOT she started missing....
could i swap over a coil pack to see what that does? and the 3.2 coil pack is the same right?

also, i know that i have a leak that just started on top of the water pump.. but tonight i got under there, and i saw coolant under the torsional dampner.... crank dampner whatever.... i know that is how CPS die out..... so could that be one of the casues for this behavior???

Guys, i know that i seem, "childish" at times.... or whatever you may call it... but ever since this bad stuff started happening... i have had it in the back of my head that this is the end of the sho game for me.... i mean, i get done with something then another thing happens.... i know, that is the part of owning a sho, or any other car, that does have a high spirited driver behind the wheel.... but.... what im getting at, is i really dont want to get rid of her just yet... i would like to get her back up and running as strong as she was before, taking on Vipers and what not.... j/k
once i get her back to the way she was, then, i might consider selling her for a GIII.... if i can find a reasonable one.... anyways......

im asking from the bottom of my broken, shattered, stalling, missfiring, SHO LOVING, heart.... to help figure out what i need to do to help my baby get back on the road, and tearin it up....

oh yeah, another thing that ****** me off today, was that i got hit by a rock, and now i have this long thin crack in the windsheild...... does the regular taurus glass fit? if so, how much, if any has done it before... and if not, how much more for a sho window?

Thank you guys.... :hail: :hail:

Yes it could be. You need to fix the leak and replace the CPS, and then if the problem persists go from there. That could be the problem itself.

212 - loss of ignition diagnostic monitor (IDM) input to PCM/ SPOUT circuit grounded
217 - PCM detected coil 3 primary circuit failure
219 - Spark timing defaulted to 10 degrees-SPOUT circuit open
538 - insufficient RPM change during KOER dynamic response test
Invalid cylinder balance test due to throttle movement during test
Invalid cylinder balance test due to CID circuit failure

Would start by clearing codes to get ride of any that are old. You can do this by disconnecting the battery or when you run the self test, by disconnecting the jumper wire when if starts to display the codes. How long ago did you buy the DIS module because it could be a bad part or if you didnt put the silicone dielectric compound on between the DIS and intake the DIS could heve gone bad. My car had a problem where when it would worm up it would start to misfire. When i pulled codes i got 217 and i had to replace my DIS module. Now with the cooland leak on the CPS i would fix the leak a hope that the CPS is still good or just replace it anyways.

ok, heres what an going at now, thanks to dale, (DHmag)

going to swap out coil packs, and the DIS. the coil pack is fairly new, and the DIS was the one that i bought of of Mike D, while in austin on the spring run, for the same problem....
but this one i have on there now, was a different one, a new one, in box, that had been sitting for a while....
Dale told me that the coil pack might be bad, and sending the wrong signals to the other sensors. or that the coil pack wasnt working right, and just sending out erratic signals...
another thing he said was that the PCM might be going... so if this doesnt work, then i should try to swap out the PCM... XJ2...
as for the CPS.... i thought they just went out... didnt know they could just start going out, and do this..... if it is the CPS...
so im just waiting on the new coil pack, and the DIS... hopefully that will solve that one, then i can worry about the other problems now.... the CPS, water pump, Shifter linkaged... and the windsheild....... :madflame:  :cuss:
i swear if i cant get her back the way she was before.... she is going to get the boot....very hard......

When a CPS fails (on it's own) it usually does just go out. But, if you have coolant from a leaky pump pouring onto it, it can act in very sporatic ways.
