I have to give you the credit for it. I had heard of it and wasn't sure about it til you started using it.Glad to see someone else taking up on the "WPC Treatment".
I know my own engine builder recommended it VERY HIGHLY, and raved about how well it has performed in the Import market/arena.
Nice investment!

Ok sorry... So many questions. So can you see or feel a difference?

The entire thing was done, bearing and all. I was unable to pull that bearing off without destroying it, so after contacting them, they said they can do roller bearings as well, but prefer to have them removed if possible.Ok sorry... So many questions.
Anything else besides the gear faces? Did they do the rollers in the bearings as well? I'm assuming they didn't just do the whole part.
There's a different dynamic at work with roller bearings (as opposed to gears meshing), correct?

Is that a seal at the bottom of the bearing? If so will it be a problem with wpc?The entire thing was done, bearing and all. No seals, have to remove all of them. There is no seal under that bearing. Is that a seal at the bottom of the bearing? If so will it be a problem with wpc?
This is phenomenal information!! I am going to cross reference this over at EcoboostPerformanceForum.com unless you want to start a thread over there too?

That was exactly Matt’s thought, from GH. Once you start getting your power numbers up there, case flex opening up the tolerance between gears.Do you plan to reinforce the case in any way? That was one of the weak links of the T5. Case would spread once you put in stronger internals.
Jim.
Wasn't a theory on the 75lb T5's! You made sure you had a few from the pick and pull in your garage. Since they were in T-birds, Mustangs and Rangers, you could find them readily. May not be the 5.0 spec gear set and torque ratings, but cheap backups were a good thing. That was exactly Matt’s thought, from GH. Interesting theory.
I'm really trying but not sure...Im doing a few mods at a time while keeping it on the road. When I get this PTU together, I'll likely still not install it until my motor is done being built (yes, I have one getting done right now too, lol), but it's a slow process. I've got it running right now but it's just running on mild tuning as I still have to install a ton of parts that are sitting on the shelf right now.Do you plan to have that thing back together this year, Xsport? Cause I for one am looking forward to that bad Explorer crushing some quarters.
That is why I ran the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe T-5 trans. They were geared awesome and if you killed it, they were cheap to replace.Wasn't a theory on the 75lb T5's!
