Part of me wishes I would’ve made a thread to post and get insight from the other guys who have been extremely helpful as I mostly read from the back seat here.
Further more, this is mildly to keep track of things I have going on and to post the times in from my car in the Southeast part of the US.
With that all said, the car is a 2015 Taurus SHO non PP.
Current mods to date: PPE catless dp, plugs, thermostat, airraid/LMS intake with a K&N shoved on the front, AD lower trans mounts, H&R lowering springs, AEM meth kit, and tuned by Brad@AJP
Car sits on Vossen VFS-1 20x9, wrapped in Michelin PS4AS 255/45/20
Fastest times to date (all full interior): 1/8@8.13 (pre meth, post dp)
1/[email protected] dragy run (pre meth, post dp)
60-130 13.08

I have a 8.05 1/8th pass premeth, but cannot find the slip anywhere to save my life
Car is down currently, 120k miles on the factory LPFP has taken its tole evidently. DW300C is in route currently.
Brad and I are working on going through the tune and getting into the 7.8/11.8 range based on his remarks, factory pump is struggling to maintain 60psi@WOT currently.

DW300 installation question. I’ve bought a new assembly to put the pump in myself, however reading through DW instructions vs what I have going on something seems off.
DW list using an O ring on the pump itself with the spacer, however with the o ring I cannot get the pump to seat into the position it’s supposed to be in. Without the o ring however, the pump seats perfectly. I am fairly certain the o ring is mandatory to have, however I am concerned about pressing too hard and causing the o ring to not seal properly.
Any input or ideas?

Ok - I have 2 or more thread with my pump I just got installed, and the problems I ran into getting mine out. That said, I had Deatschwerks install and test mine. Call their support line, they are great to deal with is my suggestion. Many dont realize they will install the pumps and test so that maybe is still an option in the worst case.

They generally like a brand new - will take an old bucket however properly drained of fuel. They call you after filling out a form, and confirm an OEM replacement of the DW300 - then do the work and send it back. I got back the oem pump and the accessory bag still sealed - they surely didnt use any of the parts out of the bag they supplied. What that means cant tell ya for sure. ALSO - their page for the pump modification service is gone... Call them is my suggestion.

Didn’t update due to work, but pump install was finished. Probably the one of the more sketchy things I’ve done, or atleast not felt comfortable doing was shaving the inside lip of the housing.
Getting the assembly out wasn’t an issue for me.
Can confirm aftermarket assemblies are not a good way to go about it. I ended up cleaning my factory assembly carefully and thoroughly, modified, and made it work.

I came very close to shaving my pump housing tab off. If was definitely in the way.
