I have a 2014 non PP, with the following mods. 3 bar map, Livertrash CAI, spark plugs, GH 93 octane tune, GH intercooler, PPE catless DP, MSD coils, trans mounts, catch can and my car still feels slow.

Dragy runs show consistent 12.7x - 12.8x @ 108 - 110 mph. When launching, the car doesn't spin, doesn't slip, just goes. I feel like my car should be running a little better than this or is this expected for the mods and a full weight car?

The only mods I have been considering next are an XDI HPFP, ethanol analyzer and an E30/E50 tune. I don't want to mess with spraying meth but I do have a wet nitrous setup from my Camaro just sitting on a shelf.

Ultimately, I would like to get the car to go 11.99 @ 115+ mph on stock turbos ... if possible.

So, does my car appear to run like it should or is there something going on that I need to look at before going forward?

Unless your DA is really high, I would have expected you to run 12.5's or a little quicker with those mods. Have you done any revisions? @mattr66 could probably tell with a log if something is off or needs some tweaking.

@aaron240 just ran quicker than that yesterday on less mods, maybe even half the mods...

DA is pretty high also, the fast guys run AJP Turbo. That is a typical run for a gearhead tune but it is smooth for the street.

I ran a 1/8 a couple weeks ago at 7.75 which unreliably converts to 12.10. On similar mods and ajp turbo tune

I think the initial tune is a little conservative, for sure send Matt a log!

Also, upgrading the fuel system and switching to E-30 tune really woke my car up!

I felt the same way about methanol in the beginning BUT meth is a great option that has multiple benefits, it’s amazing how fast it drops intake temps during a pull which allows for more boost. The EB engines are also notorious for carbon build up and the meth will take care of that as well. The install isn’t too bad either

A few days ago I let the car idle in the driveway until Intake temps hit 150 degrees then made a quick pull.

The intake temps dropped from 150 to 80 almost instantly when the methanol kicked in!

The added octane is also great if/when you need it.

Edit* it might be worth smoke testing your intake and charge pipes. The stock plastic ones are really hit or miss. Virtually all of mine were leaking above 12 psi of boost.

I tightened up everything on the intake side, nothing was loose but doesn't hurt to check.

Went out and did a datalog on the SCT. IAT was showing around +10F over ambient.

Here are some pics from it, if you notice anything that looks off, let me know. I broke it down so it is easier to compare data points.

Boost over RPM, all runs are same data from 2200 to 6200 RPM. Seems to be between 13 and 15.5 psi throughout the pull.

Line Pressure kPa over boost and RPM.

Spark advance over RPM.

Finally, my disappointing Dragy runs from today.

Chirped the tires off the line on the first run.

I want to make sure I have everything on my end covered before I start bothering Matt.

Your DA is even higher on the latest runs at 3k.

I basically ran the E30 tune with GHT turbos from the start so I don’t really have a baseline to compare too sorry. DM me and I can send you the data log config file he uses for revisions. He sent me a revision like 1 hour after I sent him a log on Friday.

I hit 11.47 with a Gearhead E30 tune with one revision on Friday, pretty fast in SHO world.

I would be so damn happy if I could get to that. If I need to buy turbos and a fuel pump to do it, then so be it. I just would like to optimize my setup as I know there is more on the table .... somewhere.

Also, I noticed the DA being 3000+ according to Dragy but I checked at my local airport and the DA is around 1800 ft when I made those pulls and I was only a few hundred feet away from the runway when I made those pulls. So not sure where Dragy is pulling the DA from, but it is not local, which makes my issue even worse.

Yah draggy isn’t the most accurate in my experience with it. It is fun for gauging progression though.

Trans mounts, HPFP & booster pump, intercooler, downpipes, e30 tune , belly cat delete, beefy wheels and tires would probably get you their with some weight reduction. @Jordan_R went faster than me on the aforementioned mods on stock turbos with nitrous.

457awhp + 50shot. Nitrous gave about two tenths but I did nitrous because my baby stock size turbos were 100% wgdc. Lol and my car is anorexic and nobody will ever beat me on weight reduction unless your going to saw out part of the car.

Weight reduction is good stuff and honestly the amount of shit I got for stripping the car but then going 11.76 on all stock fuel proves it's sick! I'm loving seeing the improvements everybody is making!

I went 12.56 @109 on a AJPTurbo E30 tune only. Stock everything, minus tune, plugs, and K&N drop in. Full weight, 1/4 tank, and my 250 lb ass in the driver seat.

That's still really quick, 2010 Boss 302 Track option did 12.63 @108mph when tested new and a 2017 AMG 63 coupe did 12.55 @ 109mph when tested.
I always like to compare my times with this site, it makes me feel better knowing it's as quick for 1/2 the price or less lol.

I was running 12.6 on the bfg all terrains. Tuned street cars should be way faster than 12.8

I’d push more boost through those turbos. You could have all the mods but I wouldn’t expect much out of 15 psi and 93 octane. A faster setup would have been swapping GH IC for methonal...since you have stock turbos. And also bc you don’t have an upgraded HPFP you could use some of that aux fueling from meth.

This might seem like a dumb question, but what's the OAR? Maybe if it's a dedicated 93 tune that's not a thing.

OAR, or Octane Adjust Ratio, is a value that the Ford ECU uses to determine the quality of fuel being used in the engine.

I saw that. I am fighting with the wife over new bathroom and kitchen vs go fast goodies for the SHO. She claims I have too many cars, quads and motorcycles. She needs to go.

Also, I know meth would have made more sense vs the intercooler for outright speed but the performance of my car was so inconsistent run to run and IATs would be at times 80+ over ambient. I figured the intercooler would help with keeping things in check and after the intercooler, IATs are generally not much above ambient with a little bit of airflow but the performance of the car is all over the place. Like today, took the dragy out, and ran a 13.1 @ 105 on what felt like a good run 0-60 in 4.42. Ran the car again 12.6 @ 109 with 0-60 in 4.49, ran again 12.8 @ 108 with 0-60 in 4.51 and the final time today, 13.0 @ 107 with 0-60 in 4.55. All launches had no wheelspin, everything felt decent just some of the runs are much slower than they should be. All runs were in same location and all runs were within 30 minutes from first to last run.

Yeah I know what OAR is...
I'm asking what his OAR value is.

I have no idea. OAR is not listed in any datalog that I have. At least not that the SCT software is showing me. Any idea on how I can find that out?
