so i just got done with my 60K (doing it myself over many many very cold days)

i go to turn the car on and after several cranks it turns on and its running realy rough (remeber its been 3 weeks and it is very sub zero) so i let it run while i cleaned things up, maybe about 10min.

then i went to drive a few blocks to see how it was. At first it stalled a couple of times and was hard to restart but eventually it gotgoing but then the temp gauge is steadly climbing so that after about 5 min the temp is HOT but still no heat blowing out of the vents. Then at the stop light with the MTX in neutral the car revs to 3k and wont come down so i shut the engine off. Then it tookk several tries to get it to restart. Next the check engine light comes on so i drive a block more home and pull the codes.

with the engine off I get 24 and 61. with the engine on i get 12 24 13 77 74 52 (but i didnt do the turn the wheel thing)

I have no idea what it could be. Can the belts be too loose or too tight? Could i have messed up the timming belt?

man what have i done to my sho

Sounds like you air locked the cooling system. And you have a vacuum leak somewhere. You should fill the rad while the car is running with the cap open until operating temp is achieved. You should go back over the vacuum hoses make sure you got them all on good and there not cracked.

It would be very helpful to tell us exactly what services you performed. "60K" means many things to many people.

I am going to reset the idle (following scott's
instructions in another post...its great that you include search terms scott)
