i cant get the nmu to learn its at wot. i have the white wire spliced into the middle wire in the tps.

i got my nmu used, but i know it still works because when i first powered it up it was green. that would mean the previous owners wot was setup. so i pushed the button and it turned red. after that i help the pedal for ten seconds and it never blinks or turns green.

i tried the process a good number of times. i even put a volt gauge on the power wire to ensure i had it on a 12v source.

any thoughts?

I had this same problem with mine. The light wouldn't show that it had learned the WOT, but if you turned your throttle body to WOT, you could hear the NMU click on.............it always worked fine, but the light wouldn't show that it was ready for some odd reason. Hope that helps.

not sure on the 1st gen tps wires but as far as the nmu goes mine did the click and light flash so i guess just the click would be just fine. try it out and see if it works. i tested my setup before going out with it. i took the intake off just before the tb and turned the key on and armed the nitrous and put my foot on the floor and it sprayed out into the air. so i knew it worked.

I'm not a ZEX guy, but I wish you the best of luck with your issues. I hope you are ready to run "at the track" with your new setup :)

My ZEX kit did the same thing occasionally when going from vehicle to vehicle. I honestly can't tell you what went wrong or how I fixed it. I'd just restart the process while doing hackish things like tapping on the NMU and wiggling wires and all of a sudden it would be good to go... That probably does not help much but I thought I'd share.

One little thing about the programming process that the directions are not clear about - you must keep the gas peddle floored when you turn the system off at the end of the programming cycle.

IE:

-Turn the car's ignition to ON position (but not start)
-Turn on ZEX module
-Press button on ZEX module until it is in programming mode (LED changes color)
-Press (or pump, forget which) gas to floor for 5 seconds or so, and at the end with the gas still held to the floor turn the ZEX box off.

Now, turn the ZEX unit back on. When you turn the ZEX kit on it should be silent - no clicks. Now floor the gas - you should hear a very distinct 'CLICK' from the solenoids opening up. It's loud enough to be heard from under a closed hood.
