Well if you are positive the fuses are good I would then take the football out and examine the three plugs on the back.

New ones are very expensive. NESHO should have used ones for sale.

Check ebay, but is the 96 specific or will a 97 fit in their too.

I bought one from a guy with a 99 sable for my 99 SHO for around 22 bucks, incredible deal. I think that was shipped too, to boot.

I think '96 & '97 are interchangeable, I know the '98 & '99 won't work.

Yes they are, but I had to take some losses and sold about 5-6 on eBay for $50-99.

If you need a new one, I can still get some. I just happened to sell all of the ones I had.

I have a similar problem only that the heater is stuck on high. There are no displays for the Climate Controls or radio. I haven't had a chance to check the fuse because it raining but will the radio fuse have an effect on the climate controls?

I hope someone can help...............I'm needing to use the car tonight and the heat is unbearable.

Heater fan stuck on high is either a burnt out heater blower resistor on the manual heater or blower controller on the EATC.

There is a self test procedure for the EATC.

Some 96 and 97 are.

there are 2 Footballs. One with 3 connectors like Paul said and one with two connectors. Mid 97 there was a redesign of the connectors as one of them was getting messed up. I forgot the details of this but they switch to a two plug system.

Im not sure about the 98-99 units not working , but Id take Pauls word for it untill someone checks.

The 98-99's only have one large plug instead of two

Here's the one I sold on ebay in May I believe... The buyer said it was from a 96, I had no idea. It only has two plugs though  He said it worked in his car so I took his word for it.

When I said three plugs for the early models I included the one for the rear defrost too.
