yesterday i was on my way home from Orlando, and was in an acceleration contest with another car.when i went to shift from 3rd to 4th as soon as i hit the pressed the clutch in it went to the floor and i couldent get it into gear.
after a few seconds the pedal came back up to when it should be,but it lacks the pressure it had before, and still wont allow the car to go into gear.
after i pulled off the highway i checked and the clutch cable is connected.
but i noticed when the pedal was about midway to the floor there is a vibration and noise.:)
also when i shut the car off,and put it in gear, and restart the car,it acts like the clutch is all the way out and lungs forward trying to start.

im guessing i blew the pressure plate, but i thought id get a few more minds in agreeance

Definitely sounds like a clutch failure, and likely the PP. In any case the trannie's going to need to come out, so regardless of what it is you can fix it then.

If you did endeed break one of the pressure plate straps, STOP driving it! One of those straps wil start eating away at the tranny case! If it gets bad enough, it WILL cut through the case into the "wet" part of the tranny. Trust me, I almost did it when driving home from the Indy Convention, to PA.

Just an observation... did Jason locktite the PP? He put it back on... perhaps it just came loose, never the less a new stage 1 clutch/pp will like the nitrous since it looks as if the tranny will need to come out again :(

You can do a rough inspection of the PP by taking the starter out. You won't be able to see the fingers or TOB, but you can see whether the PP to flywheel bolts are backing out and you can see whether the straps have failed or not.

The symptoms don't sound like a strap failure, but if the bolts are backing out I could see that sort of symptom possibly happening.

Still gonna take pulling the tranny to fix, so...

i figured as soon as i started spraying it i would have to put a clutch in it anyways,so its not to big of a deal, now im trying to locate a good price on a stage 1 or 2
