Well.. I was just rolling all my windows down at the same time while pulling back the sunroof and then they all stopped.. at first I thought it was just the sunroof so I figured I'd check the fuse when i got home. On the way home i realized my in-car door locks don't work at all. I replaced the power windor/ lock illumination fuse under the dash.. didn't fix it, not sure what else it could be.. any input?

When you click the buttons, do you hear a "click"? If not, then your relay has gone bad, and you will need to replace it.

The passenger windows and moon roof are all on the same relay while the driver side door is on it's own. If you take off the fuse box cover, it's pretty self explanatory.

If I remember, they are both at the top.

I hear no click, but doors won't lock at all and all the windows are the same, and what are the relay called within the car manual?

Under the dash.

The car manual sucks... but they are just called relays. I forget what amperage the relays are, but if you pull the old one, you can find it right on there what it is.

-Battery saved relay
-Driver's unlock relay
2x -Rear Defrost relay
-Interior Lamp relay
-One touch down window relay
-Accessory delay relay
would just one of these take out the locks and the windows? or is it multiples?

It's either the fuse for power locks under the hood or the accessory delay relay.

Dredging up an old thread, but hey, I searched at least! Bought a 97 SHO, auto on Master switch does not work and the RR window does not work. I'm more concerned with the rear window issue. Likely bad switch? Not sure of the common issue on this particular vintage.

welcome

New owner of a 97 SHO? I hope you have a lot of time and patience!

Are your cams welded? Rebuilt transmission? By "auto on" are you referring to climate control?

Sorry, the "Auto" on the window. It doesn't function, the switch works, but not the press and let go for auto. The previous owner didn't know if the cams were welded...... it has 155k so either they were or it will blow at any moment :) I assume there is no way to tell externally if it was done. Same with tranny. Body, interior in good shape. I just wanted an interesting commuter, was $1500 so no harm or foul.

No way to externally know if cams were welded, easiest way is to take off the front valve cover and see.

As far as the RR window not functioning, it could be as easy as a missed connection contact in the switch itself or it could be a bad window motor.. although I have never see one myself in the 3 SHO's I've owned. I'm thinking it's probably an electrical issue.

As far as the auto, or express down, function of the driver window, I'm not sure exactly controls this as it's a timer that determines it, so maybe someone else can help me out here to determine why that's not working? Obviously the contact and switch itself are fine since the window does go up and down.

I'll start with the switch, although I think the fact the master isn't making it work either that it's not that. But that is the easiest starting point.

Are these switches pry off from the top, or is this a door panel removal deal?

Gotta remove the door panel to get this out. But once the door panels are off, they just have clips to get them out and a single wiring harness connector to each part of the switch. There are 2 for the driver side, one for the others.
