Power Windows - Frayed Wires?

My LF and RR windows work only with the drivers door is open. I verified this by toggling the switches while opening and closing the door. I assume there is a frayed wire or connection problem somewhere. I'd like to know what wires or connections I should be looking at before I pull the door panel.

Does the illumination on the window buttons work?

could start by peeling the drive doorskin off, and popping the boot off on the drivers door so you can visually inspect the wires.
