I've taken notice that my drivers side power window rolls rather quikly at first and then slows to a crawl only to speed up again near the top. Is this a signn of a failing motor?

Is the track corroding and swelling? Any bulges in the trim? The Passenger side was so bad on my 92 the window stopped completely. The lower 2" of the track was completely gone, had white powder where the metal track used to be. Gotta love these salted roads!!!

I had a similiar problem. I greased up the whole track assembly and slightly loosened the bottom mounting bolt and moved the window up and down and found the best position and just tightened everything back up and now no problems.
