I think the passenger front power window motor in my 93 is shot (since none of the switches will operate it). Does anyone know if this is a fairly universal part (i.e. - I could steal one from a non-SHO Taurus, or a Lincoln, or another Ford product?). Thanks in advance...

Any Taurus or Sable. A Ford dealership parts person may be able to tell you if it is used in other models. Most salvage yards, and some body shops, have a parts interchangability book that will also tell you what parts are used in what models for which years. rangerj

if it is as easy to change as the rear ones, it should be simple i think i paid like $70 for the part brand new at autozone and had changed it in less than an hour, and i am mechanically handicapped. my fiancee for her 2000 civic just had her replaced and it cost her $500 parts + labor.

Even if neither of the switches make the window go down doesn't mean it's the motor. Try replacing one of the switches first ($2 at a junkyard, takes a minute to change). My car's left rear window wouldn't go down at all when i bought the car, and i just had to replace the driver's switch and the switch on that door, and now it's just fine and has been for the last 2 years. At least check this out. I'd hate for you to replace the entire motor when it was just a switch....
