I'm having this same exact problem, although it doesn't do it all the time. Once you hit 3K, it stumbles for a sec and around 35-3800 you get thrown back into your seat. Could a bad IAC/IAB valve cause this problem?

Sounds like an intake problem to me also. Theres Prolly a leak somewhere. After the aforementioned 3800RPM, the secondaries open and all is well again.

There might be a quick fix though. Since all is well after the secondaries open, there might be a leak in a vacuum line (most if not all vac lines would run off of the primaries since the secondaries arent open all the time). Does your Cruise control work? If it's a 92, the cruise works off of vacuum. The canister for it is tucked inside the drivers fender. It may be cracked from a rock tossed by the tire or the hose may be leaking. IIRC there is no hose clamp or anything holding it on.

do you have gutted cats? Sometimes if you gut your cats and put them back on, it can create a turblence in there at certain rpm's and cause that:thumb:
