popping noise when taking off from a stop

so what I'm seeing here is no one thinks the steering rack is a likely cause of the clunking sound (not the popping) when driving even a straight line at any speed over even slight bumps. Right?

I may have to be the guinea pig here and try the rack. I just want to try the cheaper stuff first. Whatever outcome I get I'll be sure to post the results for the benefit of everyone on the forum. Thanks alot everyone!
