Was crawling along at 5mph in a parking lot. Took a left turn and pop then any power to the wheels was gone.
Now if I put the car in gear it registers a speed on the speedometer (that would mean the diff is spinning correct?).
If it was the clutch I would be able to put it in gear with the car off start the car in gear and take off, but that don't work.
The higher the gear I put the car in and let the clutch out the faster the speed reads and makes some clunking noises. I am kinda thinking the CV's snapped and the clunking would be each of the snapped sides spinning against each other.
Also, my diff has been welded and there are no holes in my tranny after this happened. The only thing about my idea is, it seems unprobable that both CV's would snap at once.
Anyone got any ideas?
