I run 93 all the time because it's best for the car and where I'm from, we only had 91 max. I run 93 in my 2002 Trailblazer too.

I'm running 92 at the moment on a 91 octane tune, only because that's the highest octane giant eagle has and I'm using up 8 dollars per gallon in fuel perks rewards. Typically I run 93 octance and every month or so I'll give it 94 octane from Shell.

@SHOdded mentioned he started doing this and I thought I would give it a shot. Exactly like he said car runs beautifully with a 93 octane tune and after 3 months now I get 0 build up on my exhaust tips!
Plus I'm in Iowa so E85 is everywhere and super cheap!

Most 93 octane fuel already has a 10%blend without any mixing required. Are you running an additional 10% on top of that or are you saying you have straight 93 and are adding 10% Ethanol to it?

It is a straight 93 where I get it.

Why do you add the 10% E85 to ethanol free 93 octane? I run ethanol free 93 octane because I can get it and you get better mileage without ethanol.

93 is in abundance here in the Greater Boston area so it felt like a no-brainer.

I drive 50 miles one way to work and there is only one gas station on the way that has 93. I can get 91 at sevral but I think I will always try and get 93.

Ethanol is like Crack for direct injection and I don't care about gas mileage... I'm still getting around 19 mpg and I work 4 miles from home

i started the poll to see if any one is running the 87 grade in there stock tune cars, thinking the problems every one is seeing on the valves is from running to low of a octane,
