Running an E20 mix. I'm tuned for it and the car runs great. 91 is the highest we can get here but E85 is plentiful so might as well take advantage of it.
Most 93 octane fuel already has a 10%blend without any mixing required. Are you running an additional 10% on top of that or are you saying you have straight 93 and are adding 10% Ethanol to it?I run 93 with a 10% E85 mix full time...
@SHOdded mentioned he started doing this and I thought I would give it a shot. Exactly like he said car runs beautifully with a 93 octane tune and after 3 months now I get 0 build up on my exhaust tips!
Plus I'm in Iowa so E85 is everywhere and super cheap!
Why do you add the 10% E85 to ethanol free 93 octane? I run ethanol free 93 octane because I can get it and you get better mileage without ethanol. It is a straight 93 where I get it.
I am going to be filling up my tank for the first time tonight and am planing on going 93 octane.
Are there any issues going back and forth between octane ratings?
would just stay on the 93
Unleashedwho's tune are you running
Just make sure that if you are running a tune, the gas meets that requirement. 91 tunes should NOT be run on less than 91, but will run fine on 93, for example.
