Im sure there have been many discussions about plug wires but I could not find anything about PRESTOLITE Part # 126024 plug wires. I see them on rock auto for $78.79 and I wasnt sure whether they would be any good or not. Im trying to figure out a misfire issue as disscussed in my other post and I need to rule the plug wires out. I want to make sure I get some that they will seal properly seeing as how Ive heard so much about moisture accumulating in the plug wells.
-The price is $79.79 plus shipping, are they good for the value?
-Has anyone ever used these plug wires?
-Suggestions on which wires I should buy?
-Why which wires are better? Comparisons?

If i get this sho running properly I plan on putting more money into making it look nicer and probably a few higher quality parts, but if I can get a decent set of plug wires for now, especially if they would last awhile. Basically looking for the cheapest yet not so crappy wires just to rule out having bad wires. Guy I got if rom said he changed them but they look stock to me. All help is appreciated.

Make sure the plugs are gapped correctly first, then get em.

use a digital multimeter to measure ohms. if theres a big difference from wire to wire, send em back, unused.

wires

I've gone through TWO sets of Bosch wires from checker - maybe it's me or my rotten luck - but I'll be ordering Taylors through SHO source soon. All I've spoken to that know anything about these cars (and I've spoken to a few lately) say the taylor wires work great. They are a larger diam wire and to address your looking good they come in a couple of different colors.
Good luck.

My atx car has had a cheap set of duralast wires on it for about 12 k now, and they're doing alright. I bought the cheapest because it needed wires, and it had a blown tranny, so I wasn't going to spend a ton on wires when I wasn't sure the car was even going to move forward. But, I am surprised, it runs fine. Paid 50 bucks for the set. I had to put pieces of plastic wire loom where the wires go into the holders because the 7mm cable without the spiral wrap is too narrow to fit in there snugly. If I buy another set though, I am going to get the red Taylor wires because I have a set of red intake couplers sitting in my back seat ready to go on my intake, and why not have matching wires?

Used Duralast on a few different cars ... no issues. At all.
