ok guys, i really need some advice on this one. I leave home to go to work last night and it was very hard to get into gear, sitting still or moving, and grinds every time i go into reverse. my clutch only has about 6000 miles on it(lots of racing, very hard shifting). My clutch quadrant is broke but i have a bronze bushing and some washers in between the cable and the hole were the cable goes through on the top of the transmission to take out the slack(yes this works). So i figure my clutch cable is getting stretched (only has about 3000 miles on it) so i get home this morning and everything is tight. I go up the road and just cruising i go from 1st to 2nd, and it sounds like something falls out of my tranny. Now it WILL NOT go in gear. (i got out and looked underneath the car, nothing fell out). So i turn the car off, put it in gear, and bump the starter. It jumps but i get going and drive home in first gear. so i am guessing i broke a Pressure plate strap? Any replies would be very appreciated. Sorry this is so long.(could the noise i heard be something in the clutch that flew apart?)
