I dont know if my problem relates to the PIP wire or not, but I thought I would ask it anyway for any possible help...
I'll be driving along and when I push the clutch in to coast to a stop sign or a light the rpms drop from like 2-3 grand (or whatever it was at) to like 400 rpms...then the engine will try to recover....sometimes it does but then the rpms shoot up to 1500 then drop to 500 then up to 1500...and after some time eventually levels off to around 900 or so...other times when it first hits 400 rpms after I push the clutch in it will just stall...which I usually put it back in gear and let the clutch out and she fires right back up or I hit the starter if I am stopped and it fires right back up. The a key point is that the car will only do it when the temperature gauge is reading under the normal operating temperature. Once the engine warms up...she purrs like a kitten and there are never any problems. Another weird thing is....it happens randomly...and even in the same trip. Run fine for the first few stops, then struggle, then run fine....
The only thing I could think of was idling control sensor....
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!
