Does anyone have pics/instructions on where and how to cut/fabricate a door to get to the fuel pump?

Also, what is the best way to drain the gas out of the tank? I tried syphoning through the fuel door, but there is something blocking the hose from going all the way to the tank (Anti-syphon device?)

Can't help on the hole dimensions, but there is no anti-siphon device in the fill tube. Just curves and raised edges where the steel tube goes into the rubber hose. Try putting a bend on the end of the siphon tube, and rotate it to clear the obstruction. Usually takes me a few tries to get the line all the way in. Good luck.

If your fuel pump still works you can use it to drain the tank. Disconnect the pressure line from the engine and slide about 6 feet of 1/2" hose over the fuel line fitting, place the other end of the hose in a gas can. Remove the lower part of the back seat and locate the fuel pump wiring harness. Unwrap a short part of the harness, locate the pink wire with a black stripe and stick a pin in it. Then run a jumper wire from the battery to the pin and the pump will start running. The tank will empty out in a minute or 2.

Olympic.

Let's not make it more dificult than it needs to be.

Just ground the FP test pin on the EEC test connector under the hood (ignition on). That will also turn on the FP, assuming everything else works.

To drain the tank I was thinking of unpluging the line at the fuel filter and letting the pump pump all the fuel out even though it is pumping really weak. But there are two problems I see with this, one, I have about 17.5 gallons of gas in the tank (Of coarse the pump would go right after filling the tank.) Two, I do not have enough containers for 17 gals (in case I can't get the thing shut off before overflowing, don't want a SHO-BOOM.) I will try messing with my syphon hose to get it in there, If not, I will try Steve's recomendation.

Thank you for your responses!
